Play Ball!!

My wife's workplace has this little informal ball tournament for a weekend. She works at PEI's capitol health. So we have these mixed teams playing slo-pitch. Of course I had the camera. I never shoot sports and thought it would be fun to try at least a little. Yes higher frame rates would be nice to get the ball off the bat. Not that easy actually. I never shoot Jpeg but in this circumstance it makes sense. The camera's buffer can keep up (K10D) to the rapid fire action.

All shot with K10D, Sigma 70-200 f2,8 and Tamron 28-75 f2.8 XR Di. It was fun and we got clobbered today by the guys in the Corrections Dept, even the girls in that group could out hit most of the guys on any other team. But then again most of them spend thier days wrestling criminals. My biggest exercise is carring a camera bag.

And the shots were taken over Friday and Saturday.

Peter, it's the istD multi-frame and then "photoshoped" to amalgamte all 4 or 5 exposures.
