4 nature shots from today
Posted By: little laker, 06-21-2008, 11:07 PM

I took a small walk in a local park today, and got these 4 pic's.

These 2 long exposures were taken by resting the camera on a fence, using the hood to tilt the camera towards the water. Silly me had left my tripod in the car 1/2 way across town

I used the timer, and left the strap around my neck to assure my camera didn't fall far.

The butterfly is beautiful Stu. I love the colors. You may have forgot your tripod, but you were resourceful enough to get the job done without it. Pretty flowing water shots.

I'm only on-line for a moment, but thought that I'd say Thank you everyone.

I'm about to pack up my mountain bike and head to the Myra Canyon Trail re-opening for a while. So with a little luck I'll have some photographs to share from there.
The Myra Canyon Trail is a historic train track that burned 5 years ago in those bad forest fires around here.

Nice series Stu, I've always wanted to try a long exposure on flowing water. Great job.
