A "drive", eh?

Wondered where you went Clarence! You have waaay too much time on your hands!

How I can't wait to return to Bryce! Did you go anywhere else? I'd have to say #3, the bridge/arch, and #4, the view into Grand Staircase - Escalante NM.

Thanks Clarence. Bryce is one of my favoritest (I know it's not a word but I don't care) places in the whole US. It's too bad the intermountain west doesn't have a seacoast or I'd move there in a second. Your shots are fantastic as always

Three words, Great Salt Lake. You'd like it, lots of salt (NaCl) and Water (H2O).

Wow, Clarence! Beautiful! You've got to love the way the sun makes that stone glow.

Well done - again

Thank you all for your gracious comments.

I have to say I was well pleased with the day. I had seen pictures of Bryce and was amazed at the almost glowing characteristics of the formation. Well I found out the reflection of the sunlight on the surrounding surfaces gives that glow to the underside/backside of the structures. Took lots more shots but haven't had time to process. The day was 55 deg F, the traffic was no-existant so I had plenty of opportunity to position myself for the shots without rush. What I have plans to do is hike down into Bryce and shoot up and horizontal. That should be a good day too.

Drove to Phoenix, AZ for a whirlwind trip so went the scenic route as much as possible. Went over via Page, AZ and back via Freedonia, AZ so got as much exposure to other landscapes as I could. Need to spend more time....

True Mat but no tides, no tide pools with fascinating wee beasties, no fly fishing for stripped bass "schoolers" and "tailor blues" amongst the salt marsh weeds, and most importantly not a lot of sailboating being done.

NaCl(in addition it might be a wee bit difficult for me to find a job)H2O

Greats shots, rich colors, nice composition (crops?).
