City Lights At Night
Lens: DA 10-17 Camera: K3 Photo Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan ISO: 125 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F8

Sunday night it was so nice out I decided to go for a walk along the river downtown where I live. I can walk there from my house. Of course I have to have a camera(or two) and luckily I had my tripod. I decided to set up and wait for the sun to set. Thankfully it sets at 7:00 now. I rarely use my DA10-17 but when I do it never lets me down. This was the first DA lens I ever bought. Thankfully I have never sold it when the urge has come.
10mm 15 second exposure ISO 125 f8

13mm 20 second exposure ISO 125 f8, had to go down to 13mm to keep the handrail below the camera out. That is an airplane next to the building in the middle. The airport is in that direction.

I really need to use this lens more but it one of those lenses you need to be in the right mood for.

Wow, interesting lighting! And I personally like the added touch of the airplane light trail, it adds an element of suspense....

Nice lens too, I've been thinking lately that 17mm is just a little bit too "long".

Thank you for the kind words. Grand Rapids is the second largest city in Michigan. An interesting fact is Battle Creek is the largest city by area not Detroit.
