More pelicans
Camera: K-5 IIs Photo Location: Kingscote, S.A,.

At the risk of become addicted to pelicans, I post a couple more of these fascinating creatures. These were at a feeding platform in Kingscote on Kangaroo Island. At certain times of the day locals feed them, We were there before the appointed time and the birds were starting to gather around. The platform was liberally "decorated" as would be expected. This sort of lead me to the idea of darkening around the bids in PP in an endeavour to hide the unsightly and rather smelly mess. One thing lead to another and I ended up with these heavily processed images. Perhaps overcooked but an interesting experiment.

Waiting patiently for a free feed

A last minute adjustment to the dinner suit.

They look painterly - a nice effect. They would look good on the wall, maybe even printed on canvas.

Good shots. The second one was timed to perfection.

Original of one of them attached for comparison. Effect from multiple low flow, low density, highly feathered brush strokes in lightroom. Lowering exposure, sharpness and clarity on the timbers while increasing sharpness, clarity and saturation on the birds. Thanks for the suggestion, I might just print them

Great shots....that second one of the pelican making 'adjustments' .....really slays me....as we used to say in the '60's.
