Black Isle Birds
Lens: Pentax DA-L 50-200 WR Camera: Pentax K-30 Photo Location: Black Isle, Scotland ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F8

First few taken with the DA-L 50-200 WR.

It's images like that which are making me pine for a >/=200mm prime for that edge-to-edge sharpness.

I have a fondness for the long-beaked coastline birds. They seem ever so patient.

Not sleeping, just blinking.

A fairly major crop for this one. See if you can spot where the intruding twigs have been removed.

Bonus taken with the Petri 135mm F3.5.

Good shots. Since I am a beginner with DSLR photography it would help me to know your camera settings. By the way, in the 4th shot, is the crop done around the bird on the extreme right? Just guessing, obviously you've done a good job on this. Cheers.

If you follow the link for each one then you should find the EXIF data. Only the last shot doesn't have the full info (specifically, the aperture) since it's an old manual lens, though I'd guess it'd have been F5.6/8.

Not quite right on the cloning

I'll have a go... the bird top right, horizontally across the body just a bit below the neckline?

Interesting choice, but no.

At least one of the two regions is easily visible if you fiddle around with the image in PS.

Not to my old eyes it isn't, but hey... I got rid of the PF while I was there.
