Lens: Sigma 10-20 Camera: Pentax K5/K5-IIs

Has not been shooting cityscape/landscape for the past few weeks due to hazy weather, stayed at home to do more post processing.

#2

Both are same pics but processed differently, wonder which pic do you guys prefer?

Thanks for viewing.

#1 - I like the contrast of the darker blue sky with the warm wood tones. I also like the grain of the wood decking visible which contrasts with the smooth water and clouds.

Nr. 1. But the second is also nice.

Hi, Ken. The main issue I have with No.1 is that the eye tends to be held by the brightness of the boardwalk in the foreground, rather than allowing it to move to the life-preserver on the rail, and then out to the end of the pier. I'd go with No.1 if you did a bit of dodging out the foreground, say by 1-1.5 stops, while leaving the life-preserver pretty much as it is. Thanks for the opportunity to comment.

I like #1 more and agree with RobA_Oz, a bit less exosure on te left foreground would balance it out more imo. It shows you toke the time to capture the moment, very nice shot.

I go for enhanced saturation so I much prefer #1. I think if the computer screen image is "squeezed" so that both images are visible simultaneously, most people's eyes will keep fixing on the first image.

I like the first image - wooden deck provides a good contrast to rest of the scene.

I always go for the darker dramatic sky, so #1.

I like the first one since it has better color in the sky and in the reflections. I would try darkening the patio in the foreground though with an exposure brush. Nice shot!
