Painted Silo
Lens: a 20/2.8 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: San Francisco, CA, USA ISO: 80 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F5.6

One I took some time ago in my neighborhood. Redone tonight in Aperture. This old, disused silo won't be there sooner than later. The whole area is set to be developed. In the meantime "Project Painted Silo" has turned it into a nightly spectacle. The colors change every 10 secs or so. Very pretty to view...

A cool industrial style shot with great color. It would be interesting to see a series of these with different looks.

Are you sticking with Aperture? Earlier this year I abandoned it (figured I'd have to sooner or later) for Lightroom. I'm happy I did it but it involved a lot of pain and drudgery, and I miss some of Aperture's tools, especially the brushable curves. Lightroom is really excellent though!

Thanks Jerry for the series idea. Would have to be done at higher ISO to stay within 10 secs or less to isolate the different color schemes. I'll try next time I go there.

Yes, I am sticking with Aperture while I'm on the K-5. But will have to switch to Lightroom when I get a new camera. Whatever that will be, it sure won't have RAW support in Aperture...
