Yeah, not the most popular topic around here but hecka, I am getting better at this kind of photography! (i think!)


These were taken with Vivitar 28mm f/2.8 manual focus. I am impressed I was able to focus in the dark like this:










This was taken with AF 18-50 kit:

For a second there I thought you went to a Juno Reactor concert. I was about to be so jealous.

You've got the focusing spot on.

Why is there flare in the last picture?

I love the trail effects on the light balls. #1 look cool, but a bit blurred, was it handheld or tripod?

they were all handheld pictures... if I had my tripod with me most of them would be a bit sharper, but I was out partying and snapping pictures... so tripod was not even an option.


The POI's (LED light balls) are great, but really awesome are the fire POI's! Unfortunately I didnt have my camera with me when the pros were doing the Fire dancing... really awesome!

Nice pics Bbear I go to many of these gigs myself but have never taken the camera with me incase I lose it or it gets damaged! too much dancing to do!

Nice exposures with them light ball thingys. Can you get them anywhere or are they a specialised thing? Wouldn't mind trying that myself.
