Old trucks
Camera: K-5 IIs Photo Location: Kangaroo Island SA

On a property on Kangaroo Island South Australia, I found these two abandoned trucks.

My brother the truck driver picked this one as ex military due to the cut of the front mudguards.

This one is a former fire engine used by the local rural fire service.

Thankyou. I think it might be a Bedford. I will check with my brother, he identified both trucks instantly but I can't remember what he told me. I have sent him some photos via snail mail.

The second photograph is of a Bedford which was very popular with the Rural Fire Services.
A lot of them were repowered with V8 Holden motors for more power and reliability before they were phased out to be replaced with mainly Isuzu trucks.

Regards.

Thanks Gordon for the info. Is the Holden V8, a variant on the small block Chevy V8 ?
