With my Pentax-A 50mm 1.4 in India
Lens: Pentax-A 50mm 1.4 Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: India
Posted By: vinni, 11-07-2015, 03:25 PM

I just returned from a business trip to India. Fortunately I had the opportunity to 'escape' for a day and decided to vist a local market. Although it was not always easy with the Pentax-A 50mm 1.4 (manual focus) ... I was still able to snap some satisfying shots.

You nailed teh focus each time, great colors, great composition, and a good eye for what to capture.

What an amazing set! I think the third is my favorite, but the bells wrapped around the axel of the cane press is just one of those odd details that sticks in the imagination.

Thanks for all the comments!

I just released that the last shot was taken with a 28mm and not the 50.

My approach with these manual lenses (in the streets), is to use live view and don't go too tight with the dept of field, eg F4+ for portraits and F8+ for wide angle. Unfortunately this makes it not very easy to remain undiscovered. But being white and blonde that would in any case be a mission impossible in India ...

Hi , vinni ,

You captured some great shots during the trip. Well done.

I believe there are plenty of opportunities for street photography in India.

Hope to see more from you should you visit the country again.
