A female dingo taken with a Bushnell Trail Cam yesterday morning (if Pentax made a trail cam I would use it!). Thought it was worth posting as it is quite a nice shot. The colouring is typical - four white feet and a white tail tip but some would say that the grey showing through on the back (referred to as "sable" colouring) is a sign of hybridisation. The ribs are showing. This is typical for a dingo. As hunters, they don't carry any spare weight and are usually chasing their next meal. She was around at 9:50 yesterday morning - on the look out for a late breakfast? Which brings to mind a bush reference as having "a dingo's breakfast" (relieve oneself and have a good look round).
