Trying Higher ISO Values
Lens: Sigma 17-50mm F2.8 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Times Square NYC ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F4

I'm trying out Google's Dine2 so I'm using higher ISO values which I usually stay away from. It's a plugin specifically for noise reduction & I think I like it better than the built in noise reduction options in Lightroom (not much of a PS user). I feel you have more control with the plugin over the areas that are treated which is nice since more details are preserved. Any thoughts on this (also feel free to comment on the shots)? Also, does anyone have any other recommendations for noise reduction?

They both show beautiful, saturated colors, and no discernible noise (but I'm only viewing a small image)... nice artistic shots, but not really sharp.

Thanks for your comments! They're definitely not as sharp as I would like but I honestly didn't think these images would be useful due to the noise before the post work. I'll try to post a larger size later today.

Another Example

Here's another shot after using the plugin. It's not perfect but it looks way better than the original result-I'll upload that later. Does anyone know how to post a larger image onto the forum or is best to post a link to a lager file?

That's Google's Dfine 2.0.

That's a pretty amazing picture for 12,800. Good for at least an 8x10, possibly bigger if required.

Noiseware is brilliant, IMO. Community Edition is free, but will only process one image at a time. Standard Edition is inexpensive and does batch processing.

Unfortunately, neither works on OSX.
