Nice job! It's hard to believe that you can get that out of the kit lens. Are those cropped or not?

Thank you! Yes they are cropped, some more than the others... Yep you can get some fine images with the kit lens if you take your time

Good workout of the lens. The grasshopper shot is a bit soft, I really like the spider shot though.

thanks mate =) yeah i was a little disappointed with the grass hopper at first, but in a way I kind of like it now. I think it has kind of a dreamy artsy look to it... or maybe im just trying to convince myself that just because it wasn't as sharp as i intended that I still like it

The "grasshopper"

Is really a katydid nymph, I think.

These are pretty darn good for the Kit. I shot some early macroish shots when I first got the camera/kit, so I know how much you must have cropped. Nice shots.

The first ine I would have used telephoto ,never can trust wasps
