Fenway Park - no action just art :)
Posted By: vievetrick, 06-26-2008, 05:35 AM

I promise to follow up in a few days with some action shots from the game last night ( Sox win 5-0 ). I thought I would share a few artistic shots I hope you all like. The K10 does seem good to go. The only thing I have to work on is my eyes. I think the diopter is off a little and I need to fine tune it. I look and it looks a little off. I click a shot and look at the preview and it seems okay. I will know more tonight.

Anyway, shot number one has a history:
What is the meaning of that seat painted red in the bleachers?
The seat in the right field bleachers is painted red to mark the spot where the longest measurable home run ever hit inside Fenway Park landed. Ted Williams hit the home run on June 9, 1946 off Fred Hutchinson of the Detroit Tigers. The blast was measured at 502 feet. Legend says that the ball crashed through the straw hat of the man sitting in the seat Section 42, Row 37, Seat 21.

This is just another amazing sunset at the old park. I noticed it a little late but still happy with the results.

1 is the lonliest number. Nice that you even saw this as a possible shot.

Nice drama in the second shot. Almost makes me care about the Red Sox...

Thanks all. It was a great night to see a game. I had great seats in the Pavilon section row one. Trust me they were good. I was looking down on the game and had a great view of the entire field.

Can't believe the crowds you guys get at sport events. I know you've got 10 times more people but that's just wild looking at #2

Great shots as always! I've always wanted to take a similiar shot of the red seat but everytime I think of it and actually go over there are always people in the row.
