In China, the city of Xian is best know for the discovery of the life size https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/post-your-photos/27697-terra-cotta-warriors-6-imgs.html In the local museum, however, is another army. An army of small, about 8 inch high, servents and administrators to serve the dead in the after life. These small figures were found in tombs near Xian.

I was there in 04, and had no idea that these were there. Is this a recent find?

I really don't know if these are a recent find or not. They keep expanding the museum and they may just be a new addition to the museum. But they told us a lot of work has been done onver the past 4 years, so they may also be new. Sorry I don't know the correct answer.
