Anyone like the illustrated look??
Posted By: robert, 06-26-2008, 12:45 PM

One photo..2 different looks. I can't decide which one I like the best. The first one has very little processing. The second one is givin an illustrated look. Taken with k10 and kit lens....Bob

Yes Robert I do like it. Maybe even a little more effect would have been interesting. Well done!
I have been doing a bit of the artistic effect myself and like it, however, I still prefer traditional photographs.
Keep up the good work

I don't know if you would call it a fake hdr. It was done in lightroom. I read about the adjustments in Lightroom killer tips. It doesn't work well with all photos just some....Bob

I downloaded a plugin for PS called "Fake HDR" and it makes them WAY too red and I was trying to find a simple filter to do what you did.

I really like that look you did and have several pics I would like to experiment with. I have PhotoShop CS3 and Aperture to play with.

Nice dramatic effect, with a little mystery. I'd love to see the second shot in B&W.

The 2nd one pops a lot more but not as pleasant to look at comparing to the first shot

It's nice look in that second one, but I'd settle for something in between those two...
