Add to that the chap on the right edge of the picture looking at them curiously
Aye he'd spotted "The Kerrowdown" working away at the scene.

It's interesting to read everyones take on an image, so far some quite different interpretations.

And a potential Imelda Marcos in the making here?
Hey, I need some warm boots, everyone knows we have extremely cold temps down here in south Texas. Snicker snicker.....

I thought you needed 'em to keep out the dust, sand and snakes... in that order.

Your not needing boots to look cool... when you already are.

Didn't think there was that much to twiddle with on a Q7.

First I atempt to put the viewfinder to my eye.... Stop laughing everyone, then after I recover from that I proceed to front dial it like it's a K3..... Then I managed to set it to tav and I had to get the manual and search the forum to put it back into reg manual mode. Ok laugh everyone, it's funny but boots would make it all better. I should be happy that other photographers are not around to record my looks of confusion with my 'Susie' Q.

Had you been nearer... I would have been delighted to capture that moment.

The A series lenses have some gems amongst them and if you find them cheap, get therm. I use a 70-210 A series macro zoom SMC which, so long as you use a tripod and stop it down to f8-11 produces results so sharp it avoids changing prime lenses and missing shots as a result .. I have an M series 135mm f3.5 which also behaves very well ... I even gave a Carl Zeiss Jena 135mm f3.5 a run out on my K-1 the other day and .... well, the results are lovely. There are some lovely new lenses but, a bit like vinyl never really dying, some old lenses have a certain something you can't put your finger on .. they may not be as sharp as some newer primes and may have a few kinks but ... they can produce some lovely results
