What they come with plugs?... what like bath plugs.

Thought they were to let water out.

Jealousy will get you absolutely nowhere, besides you have both Mrs Rupert and Otis and the gang.

Yep, that's what they are for; however, they let water IN, very quickly when submerged!

After sitting on our boat at the dock, and seeing how many forgot to put the plug in, I was paranoid, and checked ours numerous times before launching!

Oh I see... not being one to move in such exalted circles or even associate with such folk as boat owners.

I bow to you obviously superior knowledge, I must admit I quite fancy this one that I came across in Valetta.

Obviously it was the Engineer's Fault, must have been down below playing with tools again!

Reminds me of the poem "My Job" for Ships (Please forgive me as I try to recite the Poem from memory)

It's not my job to con the ship

It's not my place to chart the course or even Ring the Bell

But let the Damm Thing start to Sink and see who catches HELL!!!!!!

That's not quite what we owned!

As they say; A boat is a hole in the water into which you pour money!

I
n Montana, boats could only be used 5 months out of the year, paying membership in the club in order to have your own dock; then paid inside storage for the remaining 7 months. Upkeep, insurance, fuel, a boat owner is not all that exalted! We sold our last boat in order to buy the place I'm living in on 20 acres. Much, much better than a boat!

So I'm not getting invited aboard then?... and I noticed that "owned" was past tense, so are you no longer aspiring to be in this socialite grouping anymore?

No longer a boat owner; as I mentioned when we sold our last boat we used the funds to help buy this place with 20 acres, in the mountains!

Aye I saw that, just wondered if you were still aspiring to be in this socialite group and getting another boat, now you've twenty acres to park it on.
