Posted By: jcdog2006, 11-29-2015, 06:06 PM

My wife went shopping on Black Friday, and I went to Yosemite valley to enjoy my White Friday.

Agree, It's way better than shopping! I'm trying to increase the shutter activation counts on both of K-5 and K-3 before the full-frame one announced.

Happy holidays!
Greetings again. I would like to know what type of trees are in that elevation. Looks like, spruce, noble and pine. I am close? The shot of the church got me wondering. Here in Oregon we get nobles at the higher elevations. That is where the majority of Christmas tree farms are located. I am really enjoying your work here. Once again, many thanks.

Great shots! I was there the same day! Could have sworn I saw someone walking around near the Curry Village store sporting a Pentax neck strap. Could it have been you?

Hi Tony,

I'm not good in identifying plants, but this link will give you some idea. The elevation of Yosemite Valley is around 4,000 feet.

Can any one here help Tony get a better and more definite answer? Please!

Cheers!

I greeted every single Pentax user in the field, I should have greeted you if I saw you hanging your Pentax camera on your neck.

I didn't go to Curry Village on that day, I wondered around Tunnel View, Bridalveil Fall, Three Brothers vantage point, Swinging bridge, chapel, meadow close to El cap. and Valley view. It started snowing around 1:45PM.

Let's greet each other next time if you see me, it'll be my pleasure to know you.

Happy Holidays.

Aye this venue is already on the "bucket list", these images are moving it up that list too.

Deal! I've seen a few, but still have yet to meet another Pentax user.

Great choice you made. #5 is my favorite - quite serene. And #7 adds a lot of drama from the same POV.
Thanks for sharing.

It's only 3-4 hours drive one way, I always made it a one-day trip even with 15-18 miles hiking.

Go enjoy it, and I know you will definitely share more beautiful pictures with people in here.
