"dress sense"? I thought she was wearing a wide belt.
Reminds me of when I taught in a school with a dress code. I used to accuse two of the girls of cutting one kilt in half and splitting it between the two of them. I think this girl got the smaller half. I think she might be looking at the proofs from Kerrowdown's last photo shoot with her.

You do know how to pick out your subjects and then tell us a story about each one.
I do try, it doesn't always work out for me... as street shots don't give much latitude in terms of time at the capture stage. You almost have to pre-empt the shot before even raising the camera to the eye.

She could definitely be one of them... withe exception that our girls had to wear buttoned to the top white dress shirts with their kilts. Which they cheated on by deliberately buying shirt that were a half size too small and couldn't be buttoned, all the way up.

I remember once talking to one of my students in a shirt like that. I was thinking "She must have grown and her parents are out of work and can't afford a new shirt for her.."
Her little boobs were practically popping out and she couldn't possibly do up the top 3 buttons. I felt so sorry for her.

I went over and started a conversation, I said "So what did you guys do yesterday" She said "We went shopping."
I said "What did you get"
She said, "Oh, I bought this shirt."

I thought to myself "Self, you are so friggin gullible."

Does the "lovely Tess" know about this sort of behaviour?

As applied to what? I retired from teaching 8 years ago... these days, things are as they seem. I don't have any little brats always trying to pull the wool over my eyes.

That's what I meant, your "desire to think the best of everyone"... you've not been known to suffer fools gladly.

Everyone gets their opportunity.. although I admit, with me it doesn't last very long. I grew up with Ph.Ds and graduate students, no un-processed train of thought went unpunished. I was brought up with "get your research in order before you open your mouth." Tough world for a 10 year old..

It was a tough environment, but you learn to be rigorous... I've never really regretted it. It never hurts you, even as a cabinet maker or a hospital tech, both relatively uneducated jobs, to always be the one that's prepared.

But I still get caught the first time for everything, just like everyone else, but, I'm usually ready the second time.
