A200 macro 3 images on insects
Posted By: marcusyoung, 06-27-2008, 12:07 PM

Shot this handheld with flash.

Captured this shot within split seconds as it was zooming in for its prey and flew off immediately thereafter.

shot 10 over images of this mating insects and it did not seems to bother with burst of flash lights.

Apart from the splendour of the photographs, the splendour of Nature constantly amazes me in members' macro work. I've never seen an insect like #2 in my life - blew me away! Superb work, Marcus.

My god, that lens certainly makes it possible to make magic. Great execution. Shot RAW w/PP oror right out of the camera? Fantastic results.

I was quite delighted at the image captured as I was not sure what was shot initially. Only after downloaded into the notebook diid I actually see the insect in action.

The shots were captured in Jpg and raw. I think No 1 was shot in Jpeg.. Process in lightroom. Indeed the A200 lens makes a lot of difference for my macro. Sharpness is great. Working distance is essential especially for bugs and sensitive insects. The mating insect was shot about 1 foot away and with more than 10 burst of flash, the mating insect continued without intimidation.Flash 540.

Stunning Marcus,
you're very patient.
#1 was a real tough exposure, but the waterdrop is just classic!
Well done.
