We had some amazing frost last night. Some of the crystals were about a half inch long! Here are a few of the shots I grabbed.

It is just too early for frost. Nice series. The third is my favorite too.

This phenomenon is called “Hoar Frost”. It occurs when the moisture in the air freezes. It doesn’t happen often and even less to the extent in your pictures. I luckily have seen it a hand full of times and a couple times with the crazy spikes like these. It’s truly amazing to see everything covered in this layer of frost. Good job

Great set of the hoar frost, 1 & 3 are the standouts to me.
