The other day I was over my mother's house doing some chores - changing the furnace filter, new batteries in the smoke detector, etc. - and took a handful of impromptu snaps of mom with her cat, Thai. Last month the little guy was diagnosed with CRF (Chronic Renal Failure) which was quite a blow. So far he's doing fine - this is one of those situations where he might be good for a few months or a couple of years. Mom and her little boy love each other dearly.

I thought I had the 35/2.4 on the camera, but when I pulled it out it was the DA70...
