'Tis is the Season for Skiing
Lens: DA 18-135 WR Camera: K-30 Photo Location: British Columbia

A day out with good friends, enjoying the recent snow fall in the back country of Manning Park, BC.
Downpour in the city? No problem, as long as its snowing in the mountains!

Heading up through winter wonderland

The forested ridges of Manning Park

Well earned turns in the glades.

Okay, you've got to print up or otherwise showcase that first one. The color juxtaposed with an otherwise monochrome scene is perfect.

Very nice. I'm hoping this big approaching system will finally fill us in here in the central Rockies! It's been low tide for a while now, creating weak layers to haunt us for the rest of the season!

Agree with Kath on the first one. Great colors against that backdrop.

Thank you all for the comments. I will take your advice and get the first photo printed at next opportunity.

Hopefully your weak layers will metamorphose/stabilize if a mild storm comes your way. We're not used to persistent layers on the coast, but then we mostly get to ski cement.

Right we get champagne pow and deadly slabs. It needs to re-bond which it probably won't do until spring or slide and reset which is more likely but requires more snow to recover from.
