It's hard to tell what lens I use, but it's safe to say it will be an inexpensive zoom.

You did well at 1/500s. I would have expected a lot more blur.

That is a result of our continued attention to more and more and more detail. In the age of film, I was able to use 1/250 to 'stop' a speeding train.
