Alamosa NWR

A series of images from a wildlife refuge close to Great Sand Dunes NP. The Glossy Ibis really filled the sky with color.

These are great, Susan. I don't know how you do this, catching a BIF is beyond my ken.

Thanks Jer. The 300 and the TC quit talking to each other for some reason on this trip and focusing became a real struggle. Sometimes it would and sometimes it wouldn't. Drove me crazy.

Nice images! Your vantage point was spot on. Did you use a monopod?

Hand held. I wouldn't recommend that but I just have never gotten used to using a tripod for moving objects. I have to rely on auto focus too because my vision is so rotten.
