Very interesting the texture from the tracks the smooth expanse of sand a the spot of color from the starfish.

I have checked your photo out a couple of times. That is a great photograph...the angle, the composition and I like the lone colour of the starfish ....it really anchors the shot.

What a creative composition - executed with technical precision. Doesn't get better than that.

I am interested in knowing what you did in Lightroom. I have been using FastStones Image Viewer, which does a pretty good for the most part. I am not exactly crazy about FastStones Image Re-sizer. Also, what type of vehicle was used to make those impressions? They look more like the treads of a tank or a very large truck with chains on. Thanks,

Hey Tony, basically all i did in lightroom was mask the area around the starfish, invert the mask and take the colour out leaving the colour in the starfish, then add some clarity and a bit of noise, thats basically most of it. Hope that helps mike

Thankyou, sometimes i do like to have a bit of a play around a bit, all adds to a bit of interest

Out in the open sand far from rocks it is most likely already dead.
