First Roll of Color Through the Rolleichord
Camera: Rolleichord Vb Photo Location: Northern Colorado ISO: 100
Posted By: Colorado CJ, 12-23-2015, 08:11 PM

I've read a lot and seen a lot of photos shot with Ektar 100, but haven't tried it myself, until now. I found a good deal on some 120 Ektar 100, so I bought it and loaded up my Rolleichord Vb. The photos were from last week up in Rocky Mountain National Park and from this morning during a morning snow storm. I home developed the roll in a Unicolor C41 kit.

Here are a few of the photos from the first roll. I REALLY need to start using this Rolleichord more often, I've only shot a few rolls of B&W out of it and this is my first color roll from it. The Rolleichord is no slouch.

From this morning

The colors do not seem typical of the ektar? Development or the scanning? You may want to take photo of Macbeth color checker or something similar to check it.

Some nice compositions with your old Rolleicord. I still have my old Mamiya 220 Pro F twin lens reflex. Used to love taking pictures with it.

Probably scanning. I am brand new to scanning color negatives and it is difficult the get the colors just right. Scanning slide film is easier than this!

I just need to work on it some more. I have a target I scanned to calibrate the scanner, but that only works with slide film. Taking the mask off the negative seems to mess with the colors. I've been using the Epson software, I think I'll try the Silverfast software.

Thanks everyone. I have another roll I developed yesterday. I might scan a few in and post them here.

That's good exposure control on the first two images.

Thanks again everyone.

Here's a few more from the Rolleicord. I'm trying a different software to see if I can get the color cast correct in the scans. These seem to be better, more true to life, I still have a lot to learn with scanning color negatives though.
