The highlands of the Roan are a beautiful destination at any season. One of the special attractions of late autumn are the foggy landscapes. Here are several views, just to give you a taste of the high country…

And some more cloud/fog landscapes from Roan Mt...

Mole! Great sets as always...#2 and #5 in this one are standouts for me...literal slices of Appalachia, as it were.

Otherwise, a Merry Christmas to you and yours--hopefully the new year will see me get off the porch and up into the high country a bit more... Until then, I've got a Uni-loc strapped to one side of the pack and a "weed wrench" on the other (to do battle with Amur Honeysuckle) as I meander through the Valley, so at least I should be in shape.

Indeed some typical views of our outstanding East Tennessee landscapes! Hope to see you out on the trail here in NE TN in the new year - and best wishes for some successful invasive exotic "hunting!"
