It was not snowing at the time. What you are seeing is what we here in the Pacific Northwest call, atmospheric haze. It can be difficult to contend with, so when it is really heavy, I go to my Hoya HMC CPL. Fortunately not in this case. We are scheduled to have a clear day this Friday so I am planning to out there again. This mountain is about 125 miles from our house, so I used my Nikon AFNikkor 70~210 mm non D lens which seems to have worked out very well even at 210. What I am happy about is that I do not see any CA on this photo. Ooops, I spoke too soon. I do see just a tinge of magenta left side center of the photograph. Not too bad though.
