Digging in








Today marks the return of the Red BreastedmNuthatch, it's first time at the feeder this year, but I missed the woodpeckers, when they were there I was not. When I saw them and went out, they left.

Terrific, Norm, as usual. You know, I always think of blue jays around here as homely critters, but the ones you photograph look classy.

In a natural environment, Blue Jays are amazing birds. Smart, and very social. I've always thought they were special. Same with the Grey Jays, out west people think of them as flying rats... around here where they are endangered and have a declining population, they are treasured. It's all matter of perspective.
