At play on the beach, watch out for the whites in the eyes, you're about to be bowled over.

One effect of my looking at many days of photos at one sitting is that I've become aware of your excellent sense of subject. You've posted a few "dogs" - which I've not commented on - but this is not one of them. I have a real sense of his personality here {even if I can't see the whites of his eyes}

Oh, I understand that. We have a cat who's 15 - she was first cat in our family, joined our family as "reparation" when we moved our then-teenaged daughters from the town where they were born and raised. We had a scare recently .... my wife noticed a change of habits, and the vet suspected cancer; while shaving her for an ultrasound, they found a serious infection under her tail. At first the vet thought it might have been "thrown off" by a colon tumor. The ultra sound didn't find anything, however, and the eventual diagnosis was that she had been bitten by our other cat, and the wound had become infected. Several months later she is fine, back to her 23 hours of napping per day {we're in her awake time right now - she just asked me if it might be dinner time now.
