A Sierra foothill oasis...
Posted By: heliphoto, 07-01-2008, 02:39 PM

Went out the other morning to a spring fed pond in the foothills. I've known about this spot for a while, but this is the first time I stopped and walked down to it. I was having a good time until I found a tick on my arm which led to me finding about twenty more on my skin and clothes. Let me tell ya, I was not at all calm about having the little blood suckers all over me . Didn't get any photos of the little bastards, but I got a few decent shots.

All taken with the K200d at ISO 100 (except as noted) and processed in Lightroom...

Takumar 17mm FE 1/6 sec. f/11 - looks like I missed the CA in the upper left on this one...

Takumar 17mm FE 1/5 sec. f/11

Tamron 90mm Di Macro 1/20 sec. f/11

Tamron 90mm Di Macro 1/100 sec. f/5.6, ISO 640

Tamron 90mm Di Macro 1/125 sec. f/5.6, ISO 500

Critique is always welcome.
