I've moved 1200 miles from where I grew up, and while I'm still in it's range, I don't really see mourning Doves out here. You've almost gotten me feeling nostalgic.

Beautiful photo, thanks for sharing.

Thanks! I feed the doves on the top rail of my cedar fence twice daily...usually there are well over 100 out there every day twice a day. If you like doves, I have plenty here! https://www.flickr.com/photos/129469263@N03/albums/72157651162955781

Thanks Tony!

When I get a decent shot, it is often due to just plain Good Luck. I was hand holding the Bigma at 500mmand only 1/125, so I didn't expect much from these shots. I took two quick snaps......the first one might actually be the best of the two....processed a little different.

Yes, we need to keep alert for those renegade squirrels......did you guys see this posted the other day by old Norm? Gotta keep your eyes open for those squirrels!

Regards!

Glad to see the squirrel was OK after that tragic accident. Those doves are really beautiful Rupert. I think the second one brings out the color in the feathers a bit more.

Me too Susan.....Otis rushed a crew out there to check on the squirrel, and he was just fine. He will be sore for a while, but otherwise he is not badly injured. He left the scene because he had been drinking when he crossed the road......which is still no excuse for that driver not to yield to him.

Well, actually, Otis' investigators found that he was drunk and passed out in the road...but they are not putting that in their report!

Thanks! The second shot was run through PhotoShopPro using a light "Clarify" action. That is about all I use PSP for, but it is handy!

One from this morning...also using PSPro clarify.

Regards!

A wonderful 3-dimensional aspect in your photos, Rupert. Well done, sir. Earl says to tell Otis, "Hey." That's Idaho squirrel talk for "howdy."
