Thanks, it was really fun as usual. This time it was difficult to get their attention and make them stare into the camera. I assume they have been annoyed by seasonal photographers. Even at week day this time it were two more guys with cameras from Canada. At summer time there is nobody else with the camera but only me at week days.

I did not have luck to catch them in flight yet, one day only I spotted them on trees before the rain storm, but never flying. They are easy to shot near burrows because they are active at day time. The mating season for burrowing owls starts soon in spring, so I hope to see their little kids in April-May.

I wish to spot bigger night owls one day, but I've never seen them here.
It's sad about turkeys, but owls have to eat, right? Humans already took so much their habitat, and not only theirs.

That's the beauty of DA*300mm. After my old Sigma 70-300mm it's so easy to get good image quality. Pure joy! Worth every dollar

Love these guys. We sat around Coral Gables for half a day hoping to see some but we were in the wrong place or it was the wrong time. Thanks for posting.
