City of Waterfalls
Posted By: c13_, 07-02-2008, 12:23 PM

Was lucky enough to get out this past Saturday with the new K200D and shoot a couple of the almost 100 waterfalls in the City of Hamilton. I just want to say that this camera kicks (insert explitive here). The colour rendition, the metering and the ease of use are amazing, I can see that I'm gonna have alot of fun using this modern technilogical marvel. The only thing that would have made the day better was to have some nice blue skies instead of the blanket of grey.

C&C appreciated

looks like you had fun with your new camera. I like #3 best, the others seem a little dull on my monitor, maybe because of your overcast gray sky. (or maybe my monitor )

Thanks for taking a look Tim, I'll have to check these on another monitor to see, if they are dull I'll PP and re-post a couple.

Must be a beautiful city to live in. Thanks for sharing, when are you going to show us the rest of them?

Beautiful effort! Looks like you used the kit lens or the CPC for those. Bust out an A series fast 50 and have at it!

Ya know, I've had people correct me on my critiques before.... I'm thinkin' my monitor is not up to par. I have definately noticed that pictures I view at work look a LOT nicer than when I see them at home. One of the reasons I don't post many pictures, my monitor makes them look more crappy than they actually are.

This is where I get punished for cutting corners on equipment.

I also get some comments that my images are dark and under exposed.
But my prints are the same as I see on my monitor and what I saw when I took the photo.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess.

Many don't think so, all they think when they hear Hamilton is dirty smoggy steel factories. Little do they know that places like this are hidden all over the city.

It was the kit lens, would have loved to use my A 50mm 1.7 but unfortunately forgot to bring it that day. I will make sure to bring it next time.
