First Decent Panorama
Lens: DA 18-55 Camera: K-50 Photo Location: Golden, BC ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/50s Aperture: F22

I've been playing around with image stitching recently. This is the first decent one I've gotten It's taken from the balcony door of a house we're building. It was stitched with Microsoft ICE using four images. I used my 18-55 at 35mm with an ISO of 100, a shutter speed of 1/50s and an aperture of f/22. Unfourtuantly the 0.2MP image I can upload takes away from the 35MP image it is. Enjoy!

Congratulations on very nice first pano! I'm sure the original is even better, but even this much-reduced image is a great reflection of the impressive landscape and of your skills.

How did you find the performance of Microsoft Image Composite Editor? Did you use JPEG, TIFF, PSD ... ? Did it work well, or was it fussy about the stitching?

I just did JPEG and auto panorama, slight cropping.

Very easy to use, I recommend it

Good to know. Thanks I've used the stitching in Lightroom 6 to good effect, but I always like to know of other methods. I don't like being tied down completely to paid applications, and like to have freeware alternatives I know I can use if ever required.

One thing I'd say is that the IQ is downgraded quite a bit.
I put four 10MB (16MP) files into it and got a 4MB (35MP) out of it.

Good effort. Pano's are very rewarding when they work well and so frustrating when they don't line up for some reason. Scene selection is important and this one is a great scene with plenty of strong elements for the software to lock onto. Well done
