The one on the right is my four year old, this was at his birthday party at the zoo -- I was tinkering with the camera pretty much constantly (still learning after all) and was pleasantly surprised at how well this turned out.

Makes me think of calvin & suzie from calvin and hobbes, although I'd need to replace long hair with crazy spiky hair

This photo is probably the best example I have of why I love the DA 21, it takes effort to take a bad picture with it. The cropped version has 1 pixel of gaussian blur on it, other than that it's the same (dng -> rawstudio -> gimp -> jpg)

Thanks! I got a few good ones of him and his brother today with my 70-210mm f/4, hopefully I'm getting the hang of making silly noises so i can hit the button before they get impatient
