Macro's
Posted By: Jimbo, 07-03-2008, 08:16 PM

Playing around today with my Tamron 90 Macro. I am finding macro is more difficult that it looks. I can see why some people prefer the 50 mm macro len. Will keep pushing to see if I can improve. The one B&W was shot at 1600 ISO late at night. Wanted to see how far I could push the camera in low light. The flower was yellow and with a outside light, it helped lighten the top. Surprised for 1600 ISO that the it wasn't too bad. JIMBO

Nice. I'm especially fond of photo 1, followed by 2 and 4. I hope you'll post future photos.

Thanks for the comments. I have a lot to learn and the feed back helps. I will play around with #2 in PS and see if I can make it pop is little more. I find I am trying to push the camera / myself, to see where the picture goes. Just like anything you want to get better at is trial and error. Cheers Guys and one more from today. JIMBO

I like them, the fourth one, the B&W is technically not the best perhaps , but I like it most, it has that something...

Very well done photos. I wish I could do as well.

I only recently tried my hand at nature macro photos and was surprised to find that it is more challenging and intense than any other type I have tried. I thought it was going to be peaceful and relaxing; it certainly looks that way. But looks turned out to be deceiving.
