That's a great set...the first, especially, with the processing and "catch-light" in the bird's eyes is a real keeper.

I love the first one. Hard to capture those blacks on the bird but you did a great job.

Thanks, I had converted the top one to B&W and just tried different LR effects and this one looked just right.

Getting a good black and detail seems to be a bit easier if the original is underexposed by half a stop or so

Great set! not an easy bird to photograph, they can be really wary.

Thank you, he seemed to be in some sort of mating ritual, picking up twigs then perching on a branch and cawing endlessly, so I could get quite close.
