I'm astonished that this photo is so good - the DA*300 and HD DA 1.4 TC combination is magic!

Thanks! Fortunately I was able to get close enough without it flying away. I'm still amazed by the combination of the DA*300 and the TC.

Thanks! I haven't seen many in Canberra in the past, but I saw five on the weekend, and a pair seem to be hanging around my favourite birding spot.

They seem to have more colour further north - or perhaps this one is due for a moult? I confess I did noise reduction on the sky; it was a little noisy from 400 ISO.
