After many attempts to find this fox, and many miles driven, I finally got some fox images.

I was talking to the guy at the gas station today, saying " I've been down this road so often and never seen this fox, I don't even expect to see it, I'm just going for a drive. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. "

#2. #3. #5. Focused.
#4. On the move.
#6. Busted.

Only thing missing is eating and evacuating and those don't always make the best images anyway. Smile

Great pics! Now tell me please, do you think the fox knew you were there from the beginning? My own experience with these guys is that once they are aware- they're gone, regardless of whether there's any food. They are so sensitive to everything, that a person can be proud when they can get close enough for a photo, even with a good tele.

You are getting really good at this, not that you never were but they are particularly nice and the colour is accurate too. The 60-250 is a gem, isn't it.

If you want to shoot more foxes come to Melbourne, ours have been urbanised and don't show too much apprehension towards people. They are in fact becoming a bit of a plague and are killing native wildlife. But they mainly operate at night. They were introduced by the pommies (Brits) for their traditional fox hunts during early settlement. (Like so many exotic animals which don't belong here.)

Thanks for sharing, those are outstanding shots. We used to have some fox in our neighborhood. It was nice, we had no rabbits in the garden then. Now, apparently the fox were hit by cars and it's been long enough to allow rabbits to migrate into the area. I used to know where one family lived, that rubble was cleared and they lost that den. I hope they weren't in the den, now that I think about it.
