Here are a few shots from today. I thought I would give the F100-300 a go today. It's doesn't get a lot of love in the reviews but it seemed pretty good today for an in-expensive zoom. All shots were hand held.

I was pretty surprised with the results as they were sharper than I thought I could get with that lens.
The range was pretty close so..... they turned out better than expected.

Those look just like the ones at my house. Nice shooting. I was shooting today with my old Sigma 70-300. Being close makes up for a lot of lack of quality in many lenses,

I always check out your shots and posts. I really enjoy your work.
I too noticed that many of our "birds" are the same breeds. Kinda cool.
We don't get the Grey Jays like you though.

Being close really helped this lens as well as good lighting that day.
