Saharan pinch of timelessness
Posted By: Jana, 02-11-2007, 07:27 AM

Hi

After some time I'm back and wish to share some photos from my recent trekking trip in central Sahara in Libya - and my first encounter with desert.
The photos (Color slides Kodak Elite Chrome) were taken with MZ-3 and MZ-50 and with lenses Tokina 28-70 and Pentax 70-210.

I love that second shot. All of these are excellent, but that one caught my eye right away as it has an almost fluid appearance.

I agree with Branimir....shots like these make me want to travel!

Jana, you've got a remarkable eye, my friend. These shots are stunning and of a subject we don't often see.

Absolutely wonderful. I'm with Andrew. that #2 shot looked like creamed coffee at first look.

beautiful! #1 is my favorite because it can start an argument of whether it is real or artificial...

An extremely well done series of images. Warms my heart to see something this "warmly" done on a near zero F night here.

Might you advise me where I might find more images from your trip.

I am listening to ambient space music as I look at your images and it is really doing a number on my head. Excellent work. Excellent!

Gorgeous, sumptuous photos! No.2 is really really beautiful, like a sea (running out of adjectives here).

Such an amazing series of photos!!

The first and 2nd photos are so artistic. Something magical from slide films...

Thought Elitechrome is sort of "extinct" nowdays ... Still managing to find some around?

Great images. I like the first one the best.

Just one question. Did you use a polarizer? Thanks.
