I'm lucky to be where I am and scenes like this remind me of that fact.

One has to act as an unofficial Ambassador surely for ones own country...

This is Meall Fuar-mhonaidh a hill on the west side of Loch Ness. At only 699m it is listed as both a Graham and a Marilyn.

Ordinarily, I don't favor B&W, but this photo is outstanding!

For me I'm the opposite, B&W has and is still my first love, perhaps because I was doing photography before colour had been invented, or so it feels like some days.

Thank you very much, this is actually a Cyanotype treatment I've applied to the image, perhaps that helps to give it some more appeal.

Actually, what gives it more appeal is the guy behind the camera, knowing a great photo opportunity when he sees it, and getting a great shot!

"Cyanotype treatment" That definitely makes this image "pop"!

Aye it's a bugger to try and get a straight anything, when presented with this kind of scene...

Carol, you are one of the few women in my life, that can cause me to blush...

A feat even Lady Kerrowdown has yet to master.

To be honest with you, it's become my more or less go to treatment, for nearly all my B&W work these days.

Not a favourite of mine... when you trampling about in it, trying to get a better angle.

Can imagine! But it's one of those hyperatlantic species that just reaches the Netherlands from the south... It's really a rare encounter over here.....
