. Sent her a bunch with different colored rings but never heard back from her so I am not sure if they were useful or not. I did get some keepers from the project though.
Some populations of Snowy Plover (
Charadrius nivosus) have special conservation status (endangered, threatened, etc.) designated either at the state or federal level. To aid in the protection and recovery of those populations, the geographic locations they use at various times of the year must be known. Marking birds with colour bands enables this.
