Nature photography
Camera: K-5 II Photo Location: Finland
Posted By: Stickl, 03-31-2016, 03:38 PM

Since Pentax k-x I've been photographing nature, from landscapes to wildlife (animals, in their own environment) and my idea has always been not to photograph from hide or use baits or anything for wild animals. It's tough way to go but somehow it's fascinating as well since there's something which you can't just get when you want it, you have to work for it (for being able to photograph wildlife without baits). This has been my hobby five years and now I'm thinking could I maybe get some money with these photos? I mean for getting money so that I'm able to fund for example the new K-1 body with some lenses.. feedback much appreciated!

These are just a few samples of my work.

Those are AMAZING photos.
Simply AMAZING.

I'm sure you could get some prints made and sell them at an art show with these incredible images!

Bravo. Highly commendable work put into framing and timing of these photos.
They are marketable images, but how you sell them is going to be based on exposure to the right audience.
All the best with that.

No doubt that the quality of your shots (and your dedication to get excellent results) are more than adequate to get some many out of this hobby.
Making money with photographs, however, has not that much to do with the quality of the shots but with identifying the right sales channels, business sense and communication skills IMO.
Good luck!

Outstanding work! These are way above standard. Beautiful landscapes and an unusual approach in some of the animal pics.
I guess that making money is more difficult than shooting good pics. But you have quality work, so why not give it a try?

Really good stuff! Worse photographers are making good money but as volley says, it's more about the business than talent. If you have a mind to do business, you have some great raw material!

Very nice.

And done with a K-x too. What are you doing in post? Surely these aren't straight from the camera, no?

If I can make some money with my photo's you should be able to do the same as you are producing better photo's than I have! Tip; try to sell localy. People with a strong connection to the region in which you are photographing are more inclined to part with their money.
