How long was the shutter speed? I guess things puts the speed of the space station into perspective

It was a twenty second exposure using the Astrotracer. The ISS moves at about 17,000 mph. The web site Heavens Above.com will give you date/times the ISS can be photographed. Heavens-Above

I love it when I happen to see the ISS randomly at night. I always forget to check to see when it's actually coming so I can plan for it. I did get lucky enough to see it on one of the last shuttle missions just after the shuttle had undocked. Really cool to see two dots streaking across the sky.
