Alta, Nordkapp, Northern Lights, Hammerfest, Norway · **5 Likes**

Here are some photos from my second Norway tour. This time I did a road trip around Finnmark region. I stayed in Alta for 7 nights and travelled to Hammerfest, Oksfjord and Nordkapp a.k.a the North Cape. Pentax once again performed superior in cold environment but it's obvious that I need a good ND filter.

I am very familiar with this area...in the summertime. This really is lovely reminder that I should try to visit the region in the wintertime&early spring.

If you do like winter you really should see those places in winter. Totally different environment.

I know, I know... I've once been one province lower (Troms) in the wintertime for about three day's and it was magical. My problem is to balance my budget for these kind of outings without having to scrap my summertrip to Finnmark (and dig a hole in my savings for a K-1

). I am now in the process of planning a august trip to the Barentszsea at the Varangerhalvøya to do some photography, hiking and fly fishing... But hey, these are luxury problems!
